Directions

Imagine a favorite memory as a cellphone picture.

Think a creative title for your memory snapshot.

Finish this sentence starter: My memory snapshot shows . . .

Keep writing until you’ve described your memory snapshot in full. Make sure to include who is in it, what is happening, where it is happening, and when it is happening. Note colors, emotions, facial expressions, and other visual details about the moment.

The essay should be at least 100 words and should not exceed 200 words.

You will be graded by the following criteria

Content- Is your creative non-fiction piece, thought provoking, surprising or engaging to the reader? 50%

Organization- Is your piece focused on the topic? Is it logically arranged? 30%

Style- How did you write the piece? 20%
